Allyson Luski was born and raised in Teaneck, N.J. She graduated from Hawthorne Christian Academy in 2004. As she grew up, many of the people who Allyson looked up to were nurses, and she was inspired by their careers.
Those inspirations lead her to volunteer at a camp for individuals with disabilities. It was then, that Allyson knew her calling in life was to be a nurse. It was at that point, she enrolled in the nursing program at Messiah College located in Grantham, Pennsylvania.
After graduating in May of 2008, Allyson passed the national exam for registered nursing. She was then hired by Hackensack University Medical Center as an intermediate care nurse. While working in this position, she developed critical thinking and communication skills making her a vital member of the heath care team. Allyson also served as chairman of the unit based council which made decisions affecting unit policies. 
In October 2011, Allyson transferred to the intensive care unit. While working as an ICU nurse, she expanded her medical knowledge and became more autonomous as a nurse. Wanting to build upon this knowledge, Allyson enrolled in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Adult Nurse Practitioner program. While obtaining her master’s degree she gained detailed experience in primary care and emergency medicine. In February 2013, Allyson graduated, then passed the national exam for Adult Nurse Practitioners. She was asked to join the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Membership is awarded to those who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in the nursing field. Allyson is also a member for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Allyson joined the health care team at Allied Medical Associates (AMA) in August 2013. On a daily basis she works with the doctors at AMA to care for the patients of JDT Medical Rehabilitation Center. When she is not caring for patients Allyson enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She also enjoys hiking, long walks with her rescued greyhound, spending time at the beach, and wine tasting.
